The Freakbeat 1970’s Hollywood cinema series: The Wild Bunch
The opening shootout scene from one of my favorite Westerns with an amazing cast. The opening scenes features a cameo role from Bo Hopkins one of the unsung Hollywood character actors. He plays the crazy one of the crew who gets killed in the first scene. This movie revolutionized the action picture with slow motion shots and kinetic energy, John Woo citing it as a major influence. Here is a trailer from the Sam Peckinpah documentary:
